I understand your feeling, and it would be very depressing when you are unable to use the Scan/OCR featue in a normal way. Reply from Wondershare PDFelement Apr 21, 2023 But only after I made it clear I wasn't answering any more questions and was going to find all the social media networks I could to leave negative reviews. I basically felt forced into brow beating the company on public forums to get them to give me my damn refund, which they finally did. All the standard stuff any trained monkey could figure out. They also offered a scripted set of BS solutions like reinstall drivers, make sure my scanners on, you know the drill. And then of course they wanted to know why that, which I anticipated would lead to more questions of why that, and that, and that. Update: the customer service Representatives wanted to know what was wrong with the software that I needed a refund, so I told them the scan OCR is not functional. I just have to cross my fingers and hope they'll give me a refund out of the kindness of their hearts. There is no way to hold them accountable to a proper set of civilized laws. I'm pestering them as much as I can, but this is a Chinese company. Now getting the runaround from customer service. I still have 28 days, but it sounds like support might just ignore my messages. After reading the reviews here, I now fear that I might not get a refund. Not until you pay for the software are you able to scan documents and run the text recognition function. And wouldn't you know it, you can't use that feature for the trial period. The Scan/OCR makes a completely unacceptable mess out of the text.
